Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
the MoTD description of our performance today.

Harsh? or the truth?

Pretty fair.

But picking out Arnautovic wasn't.

He wasn't busting a gut to close them down in that clip, but you could've made the opposite point by choosing a different clip.

Seeing it first hand today. Totally agree with him and hope our players are watch8ng it too.

Shearer was bang on with both the description and his analysis. We are in big , big trouble and can't see that we've got enough fight in the team to pull us out of it any time soon.

Indeed. This week, as with pretty much every other in the last calendar year, he put in a real shift and didn't go missing.

Yep,sat through 90 mins of absolute fuck all effort and it made me angry. No movement whatsoever. Embarrassing is correct. Apart from Diop and Fabianski, the entire team was utter shit.

Pony, I thought Belguena did ok, apart from that I agree the rest were pathetic.

It's was all but thus, and a lot of dog shit thrown in. Not bothered watching. Watched a programme I recorded about the expanding universe with some fit Doris with red hair, whilst I scoffed down a Jalfrazi.

Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
On showings we are pretty much the worst team in the division but we haven't been far off that for years bar one season under Bilic when they just got lucky with signings. We didn't build on that though and just went out and bought a shower of shit and then have gone out and bought an expensive shower of shit.

No thinking process at all in who we seem to buy, we just never seem to have a plan and just go out and get slow uninterested players with no fighting qualities.

Totally agree with Shearer (although he's always hated us).
I just wonder if any of the players see this & get the message? I get the feeling Rush Green is still in 1977 whilst football moved on....

Do you honestly believe that our newly formed Mercenary XI are bothered? They get their dosh and don’t give a shit about the club

The sooner Pellegrini goes, the better.

Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
having been shit and dodged relegation for seasons now, we’re finally guaranteed of it this season now IMO. What’s more we’ve spent a vast amount of money to financially cripple ourselves in the process.

We'll be like Leeds but without the smell of success they at least enjoyed for a couple of seasons before it fell apart for them, And it could be a very very long time before we see any chance of top flight football.

This may sound a bit melodramatic and I hope I’m reading this back in Sox months and cringing at it, but I really fear the very worst for us right now. Based on what I saw today it’s gong to take a small miracle to turn it around.

Sadly with the manager and squad we have I and only 4 games in we look odds on for the drop

Cursed

Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
Only saw 2nd half but imo Shearer was wrong apart from maybe the lack of effort.

Need to be patient & trust Pellegrini will sort it.
Not easy as we’re fickle as f##k.

Pressure will no doubt be heightened after the next 3 tough games when we could well still be pointless after 7.

As Corporal Jones says...

nychammer 10:48 Sun Sep 2
Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
IF We are pointless after 7 we’re fucked. End of.

Willtell 10:51 Sun Sep 2
Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
Nonsense! Teams that are bottom at Christmas still have a chance of finishing mid table...

nychammer 10:55 Sun Sep 2
Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
If they have some points. I can’t see us being in double digits at this rate

aldgate 11:00 Sun Sep 2
Re: Embarrassing, hopeless, pathetic
The obvious lack of team spirit is a massive worry. As is a manager who played our record signing virtually at left back in the second half then centre half for the last minute when Diop was sent up front
